Neill joined Grimshaw in 1998 and became a Partner in 2012. He has worked extensively across all sectors, and has particular experience in transport projects. For the past three years Neill has led the architectural team responsible for the design of the line-wide finishes and components for the Crossrail C100 Architectural Components project in London. This role has required close collaboration with client, station and systems engineering teams to develop a strong architectural vision for Crossrail.
Neill has particular experience in high-profile rail and metro projects, including Phase 1 of the Paddington Station master plan (London, UK) and Southern Cross Station (Melbourne, AUS). He was Associate in Charge during the initial development stages of the Fulton Street Transit Center (New York, USA), one of the busiest interchanges on the subway system.
Neill has demonstrated his flexibility in design thinking, making significant contributions to the design of the Caixa Galicia Art Foundation in La Coruña, Spain, and the Thermae Bath Spa. He currently leads Grimshaw London’s Industrial Design Unit with a variety of projects that build on the practice’s industrial design heritage.
